When drinking to replace the fluids you’re losing during exercise, it is best to avoid carbonated beverages. No Sodas, no caronated waters and no other carbonated beverages. These drinks can cause stomach bloating and are absorbed slower into the body parts that need fluids the most.
By all means, stay away from caffeinated beverages during your work out. Caffeine causes the body to become even more dehydrated than normal – which is NOT what you want during your work out.
