Work out Tip of the Day
By sporty gee kay | January 24, 2008
Let’s talk about strength training. Everyone wants a lean and toned body. And yes, cardiovascular activities will get you lean, but for the toning aspect, you must lift some weights. Don’t get too scared! These are just some basic tips for keeping you safe while working out those muscles.
When doing squats, with weights, always remember to never let your knees go past your toes. One thing that I always do is make sure to turn to the side in front of a mirror when doing squats. That way I can focus on my form and insure great posture.
When using a barbell for squats, lunges or bench press, always remember to place your hand equidistant from the center of the bar. This keeps you from hurting yourself or possibly falling over.
Stay tuned for more tips and training. Let’s make 2008 a safe, healthy, weight loss and healthy eating year!
